Hi loves!

Long time, no see! Life has gotten so busy for me this entire year and I have really let my blog slip. I miss it so badly and I’m excited to start up my regular posting again! Since we are 10 days away from Christmas, I wanted to share some Christmas manicures that I’ve done in the past. These are some of my favorite looks, so I wanted to bring them back for some holiday inspo!

This first set was so fun to create! I used regular polish on natural nails. How fun is the little snowman?!

This set is acrylic almond nails with regular polish for the nail art. I was inspired by Christmas sweaters for this look! The little reindeer are everything!

This set is sculpted hard gel with regular polish. Can you tell I’m in love with holiday sweater art??

For this set I went for a color that is not so typical for Christmas. You can do this design anytime through the winter. I layered white and silver polish to create dimension in the snowflakes.

Plaid is perfect for Christmas! I went with red, dark green, and gold to create this design. I’ve almost done this look for a pedicure and it was the cutest!!

Long Time, No Talk..

Long time, no talk!

What have you guys been up to?? I can’t believe it’s been so long since I’ve made a new blog post. Life has been so busy lately! There are so many things I want to update you all on. For starters, I’m not currently working in a salon or working with clients. When it comes to opportunities in my area, they are few and far between. I’m currently taking more college classes, and I hope to dip my toes back into the salon world eventually. I truly miss doing nails and playing around with art and new products..

I still love doing nails on friends and family, practicing nail art, and nail blogging. This allows me to keep my creativity flowing and stay relevant in the industry. In the meantime, I’d love to get this blog back to where it once was. If you have any specific requests on nail/beauty related posts, please let me know! I’ve already gotten requests to do a pedicure tutorial, and talk more about how to find clients. I love sharing the knowledge I’ve gained over the years to help out those that are new to the industry!

Side note: can you believe that its already October?!? I am beyond excited for Autumn, pumpkin patches, pumpkin spice coffee, and camping weather! Long time, no see! Today I wanted to share my latest video clearing up some misconceptions that I hear way too often. When it comes to the nail industry, there is always a new product hitting the market and salons are always looking for ways to push that on their customers. At times, some salons can bend the truth when it comes to what the product actually is and its cost… Solar nails, SNS, and dip nails are just some of the latest fads that salons are overcharging clients for and hiding the truth. Life/Career Update!

Hey guys!

Today I wanted to share a little update on my life and career with you guys. I’ve made big changes when it comes to my work in the nail industry and I don’t think I’ve shared it with you all! I hope life has been treating you very well!

At the beginning of this year, my lease was coming to an end at my nail suite. I had the choice of staying for another year, or moving to a new location. I decided to find a new place because I was working in a shared building which wasn’t great for foot traffic for my salon. I found a hair salon closer to my house and decided to move in. I had my own small room, I decorated and moved in, and only stayed for a couple of weeks! The salon was great, but it just wasn’t a fit for me. I also had some intense things happening in my personal life, and I had to make the hard decision to leave…

I knew that leaving this place meant that I wouldn’t be doing nails anymore. I also would be leaving my clientele and having to have that hard conversation with them. I had to have a heart to heart with myself and realize what I truly wanted. With the different things I was going through personally, and finally graduating college with my degree, I wanted to pursue a different career path. I still love nails and I enjoy doing them on friends and family from time to time. I’m also still writing for nails magazine, and nail blogging so I’m still active in the nail industry!

All of this was difficult to decide, but I am very happy with my decision. If I can give any advice, it would be to always go after what feels right. Even if that path might not be the easiest at the time.

I’ve Moved | New Salon!

Hey guys!

Today I’m sharing another nail update! I recently moved out of my nail suite and joined a local salon! I still have my own nail room in this full salon and I finally finished moving everything in. I’m enjoying the set up so far, so I wanted to share the room with you guys. I plan on filming a tour of my set up soon, but for now I’ll be sharing some photos.

This is the first look when you walk into the the nail room. I have my manicure table in a corner to maximize the space the best I can. I’ve added a mirror to the far wall to help open up the space, but I think I’ll be adding a bigger mirror soon.

This wall has to be my favorite! I’ve laid everything out the same as my previous room, so not much has changed. *And yes, I will be fixing the crooked wall rack that’s driving me crazy!* The wall rack houses my normal lacquer, and the table top rack is just for my gel polish.

This space next to the manicure table is where I keep my paraffin bath. My set up includes a table for the paraffin bath, disposable gloves and socks, and some faux plants. It fits perfectly in the corner, so it doesn’t take up much space.

This corner is the pedicure area! My hydraulic chair fits perfectly here with a plush rug for extra comfort.
