Weekend Rock Climbing Trip!

Hey guys! Today I wanted to share my latest adventure with you all. I recently went on a climbing trip with my boyfriend and some friends at our favorite local spots. This was my first time ever officially rock climbing! We started off the trip by having dinner at our home away from home at the base of the mountains. It is a cozy little restaurant with an amazing view that never gets old. Derek and I have eaten here so many times that the cooks know our orders by heart, haha!

We then went cruising through the mountains and at the top we found the most gorgeous lake in the middle of the woods. We arrived just before sunset and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky.

It was so breathtaking to see all of the leaves officially changing. The reflection off the water was one of the coolest sites.

We then settled into our campsite and woke up to 50 degree temperatures in the tent. Thank goodness we had tons of sleeping bags, blankets, and layers on so we stayed nice and cozy all night!

After we cleaned up camp, we headed out for a full day of rock climbing! Like I said before, this was the first time I’ve actually been harnessed up and belayed up the rock. I was so excited to dive in that I didn’t think about how high I was actually in the air. I was the one taking photos this day, so of course I don’t have any of myself on the rock, haha! My boyfriend belayed me, which was the coolest experience to do together. My life was literally in his hands while I was leaning backwards off the cliff and he did a fabulous job getting me down.

This was the main rock we practiced on that day. The first 7 feet up the wall happened to be the most difficult to climb, but after that I moved up the wall rather quickly for a newbie!

We had an amazing time and I’m just so grateful to live where I live. This is the view from the top of one of the boulders around where we climbed. It over looks part of a very large lake in our hometown.

Thank you guys so much for stopping by! I apologize it wasn’t a beauty post, but I love getting to share my lifestyle posts with you all. Do any of you climb, or have you been before? I’d love to hear some of your stories in the comments. I hope your day is fabulous; love and light! :)

Natural in Nature..

Hi lovelies!

Today I just wanted to share my blank canvases! My boyfriend and I went on a hiking and climbing trip today and of course I thought this spot would be an awesome nail shot!

We climbed up some boulders and hung out at this gorgeous view. No matter how many times I come up here it still takes my breath away.

I will definitely be painting my nails tonight because it feels so strange having nothing on them for so long. I’m thinking something blue…or mint..

Thank you for taking the time to read! Don’t forget to follow and keep an eye out for my new “color” series coming up in my next post!
