Must Have Nail Products For Colder Weather!

Hey guys!

Today I wanted to talk about my favorite products that I reach for to care for my hands and nails in the colder months. The Fall and Winter season can be harsh on your skin and cuticles. I always have to use more products to keep my cuticles from splitting and my skin from getting too dry. I’m sure many of you experience this same issue, so I wanted to share some of my go to products to keep my manicure looking fabulous!

CND Solar Oil

I have tried so many cuticle oils in my career and this one is at the top of my list for you! This oil is salon quality, and you can find it many places online for those of you who don’t work in the beauty industry. It never fails to leave my cuticles super moisturized and looking great all day. Many other oils I’ve tried only hydrate my skin for a short time after I put it on. This solar oil keep my skin looking healthy and hydrated all day!

Julep Mighty Nail and Cuticle Serum

I have raved about this product so many times in the beginning of my blogging days, and I still stand by it today! This pen from Julep contains a moisturizing cuticle oil that you can take with you on the go. It is the worst to be out and discover your cuticles are cracked and dry. This guy has been my life saver in those moments. I can always take it with me in my purse and pop it on my nails whenever I need to. It isn’t a greasy formula, so the oil soaks into your skin really well.

Almond Hydrating Lotion

CND never fails me when it comes to manicure products. This almond oil lotion works great when I am giving manicures and pedicures on my clients. I really like the formula because it is thin enough to perform a massage, but it soaks in really well and doesn’t leave you feeling greasy. It also has a great almond scent that isn’t too overbearing.

That’s it for my must have nail products in the Fall and Winter! I hope you found this post helpful and hopefully found a couple new products to try out. Have you already tried some of these? Let me know your opinions in the comments below. I hope your day is awesome; love and light! :)

Spring Nail Polish Inspiration!

Hi loves and happy March!!

Spring is right around the corner (thank goodness), and I am so excited for new Spring polish shades! I wanted to share some of the hottest colors to rock with the warmer weather. These picks are from my personal collection, but any brand with these shades would be gorgeous. We’re talking drugstore and salon brands, so let’s get into it!

You’re Such A Budapest

OPI never fails when it comes to beautiful purple polish. This lilac shade is one of my all time favorites for Spring (as I’m sure you guys already know). The formula is on the thin side with a slight shimmer throughout. I achieve a completely opaque manicure with three coats!

Be More Pacific

This China Glaze shade is unlike any other polish I have in my collection. It’s a pastel green shade that is actually thicker of a formula than you would expect. A lot of pastel shades tend to not have a great formula, but this guy is an exception. This is a green that is super wearable and goes well with many different skin tones.

Mellow Yellow

This Sally Hansen polish is super affordable and easy to find in drugstores. It is the perfect bright yellow shade that can be completely opaque in one coat! This happens to be the only yellow toned polish that I like to wear, out of all the ones I’ve tried.

Sunday Funday

I have recently been rocking this coral shade on my nails and toes. It’s similar to “You’re Such a Budapest” in that it’s a thinner formula with gold shimmer. I like to use three coats, or apply it on top of a base coat to make it completely opaque. If you love oranges and corals, then you will love this shade!

Thank you all so much for stopping by! Spring polish is my favorite to rock all year long, so I’m stoked its back around again. Which shade is your favorite? Let me know in the comments below. I hope you guys have an awesome day; love and light! :)

February Non Beauty Favorites!

Hi loves!

Today I thought it would be fun to switch up the typical monthly favorites post. I wanted to share some things I’ve been loving from this month that aren’t beauty related. I hope you guys enjoy! Let’s get into it!

Morning Smoothies

Having a smoothie in the mornings has been an awesome way to start off my days. I like to alternate between different fruits like strawberries, mango, kiwi, and banana. For today’s smoothie, I used spinach, kiwi, strawberries, mango, flax seed, and almond milk. It was super sweet, tangy, and brown! Haha!

I’d love to hear some of your favorite smoothie recipes if you have any. I’m always looking for new ways to switch it up!

Yoga

This past month has allowed me to work from home full time, so I’ve had plenty of time to practice every day! If you’d like to read more about my journey beginning in yoga, check out my post here from last week.

Netflix

I have recently found some awesome shows on Netflix. Better Call Saul, a spin off from Breaking Bad, is my current obsession. If you enjoyed Breaking Bad, you’ll love this show! I also discovered Portlandia which is a sketch comedy show. It is so literal and in your face, that it’s hilarious!

Freelance Work

book-731199_1920

A lot of you may not know that I am a freelancer full time. I get to work strictly from home now while working with clients and different companies. I’ve created a business for myself providing social media and content marketing services to individuals and businesses. This has been so rewarding for me so far and I only hope to see it grow even more. It’s always a big leap of faith to put your time and effort into a new career, but I always say to follow your passions no matter what! :)

That’s it for now; thank you guys for stopping by! Let me know what you’ve been loving in the comments below. Have a fabulous day; love and light! :)

Top Holiday Beauty Products

Hey guys!

Today I’m bringing you my favorite makeup and nail products specifically for the holiday season. I’m sharing my top nail polish, lipsticks, and eye shades and more. Let’s get into the goodies!

China Glaze polish in Salsa

China Glaze Salsa Nail Polish - 0.5 oz

This red shade is the ultimate Christmas red in my opinion. I’m not typically a fan of wearing red on my nails but I love rocking this color on my toes! If you are looking for the best shade of red that screams the holidays and is super opaque, this guys is for you! Also, the shade in person is lighter than the photo.

Mica Beauty Shimmer Powder in Bronze

IMG_5037

It has been so long since I’ve talked about this shimmer powder, but I am still in love! The shade is the most gorgeous bronze, golden color that I like to wear as a shadow in my holiday eye looks. The formula is crazy soft and pigmented and you only need the slightest amount to cover your lids. I like to add this to different smokey eye looks to really make my eyes pop!

Hikari Lip Gloss in Merlot

This lip gloss is extremely pigmented and lasts for hours throughout my day! These deep berry shades are my absolute favorite to wear during the holidays. I like to pair this lip shade with a natural or gold toned eye look!

Jordana Lip Cream in Smooth Merlot

I wish this lip shade was still in stock! This shade is a gorgeous brown toned berry shade that is perfect for the winter. I have tagged a super similar shade that you can still find on Jordana’s website if you’re interested.

Model Co blush in Peach Belini

I love the refreshed look this blush gives me, so I just had to share it again! This shade is a peach blush with a slight golden sheen that really wakes up your face. It is super pigmented, but the color payoff is perfect on the skin!

Theorie Argan Oil Hair Serum

It is a must for me during the holiday season to keep my hair looking soft and shiny. This argan oil is perfect for detangling my hair and keeping my ends looking healthy!

Thank you guys so much for reading! What makeup shades do you love wearing for your holiday looks? Let me know in the comments below. I hope your day is fabulous; love and light! :)

November Favorites!

Hi loves! Today I am bringing you all of my beauty favorites from the month of November. This past month has been all about getting my hair back to the healthiness it used to be and beating the dryness from this colder weather. So let’s get into it!

L’Oreal Feria Hair Color

This product has been featured on my blog before and you can read my full review with photos here. If you guys are looking for a good box hair color that doesn’t kill your hair, this brand is for you. The color is absolutely gorgeous and add so much dimension to my hair.

John Frieda Leave in Conditioner

An oldie but a goodie! This leave in conditioner has been my SAVIOR whenever my hair is feeling super dry. With the colder weather and me slacking on my hair masks, I have experienced less shiny and frizzy hair. This product restores the shine and gets rid of the frizz after just one application! I always apply this to my damp hair from the roots to the tips.

Fit Me Concealer

I had to include this drugstore concealer because I’ve recently fallen back in love! I forgot how much I couldn’t live without this concealer in my collection. It is a full coverage concealer that wears SO long on my skin. I would definitely recommend this $4 product if you’re looking for a good drugstore concealer!

The Balm Eyeshadow in Fit

This shadow is a gorgeous champagne shade that is perfect for holiday looks. I love using this shade on the lid, as well as an inner corner highlight when I do a brown smokey eye.

Pura D’Or Argan Oil

This is one product that has been a savior my hair, skin, and nails! I like to apply this oil on the ends of my hair while it’s still damp. I will then run whatever is left over on my hands, through the rest of my hair. My hair is always SO soft and shiny afterward! I also like to use argan oil on my nails and cuticles as a nourishing oil. While you’re at it, why not mix some of this oil with your body lotion and have all over hydration?!

Thank you all so much for reading! Let me know what products you’ve been loving recently. I hope your day is fabulous; love and light! :)

Coral/Orange Nail Polishes You Must Have!

Hi loves!

Today in the color series, we are talking all about orange and coral polish! I personally don’t wear many oranges, but I do love a good coral shade. Here are my top picks just for you guys. Let’s get into it!

China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy

china glaze flip flop fantasy

You guys know this is my all time favorite coral polish! It is a neon shade that pops off the nails without needing a white base coat. I don’t ever wear orange polish on myself, so this is as close as it gets for me. I suggest you guys research swatches to see how beautiful it is on the nails!

Sally Hansen Coral Reef

sally hansen coral reef

This is another gorgeous coral polish that is super affordable. This Xtreme wear line is by far my favorite from the drugstore. This polish has been reformulated and I definitely prefer the original color. However, it is still perfect for any coral polish lover out there. It is very pigmented and can be opaque in only one coat.

China Glaze If In Doubt, Surf It Out

if in doubt, surf it out

As I said earlier, I don’t ever wear a true “rainbow” orange on my nails. I do however, own this shade from China Glaze that is a dusty light orange polish. It is opaque in two coats and the formula is super creamy!

Thank you guys so much for reading! Let me know which shade you’d like to see next in the color series! Also, please leave me your favorite orange and coral picks in the comments below. Have an awesome day guys; love and light! :)
