4 Ways To Make Polishing Your Nails Easy

Hi loves!

Today I’m sharing 4 nail hacks that will make painting your nails much easier. Even with tons of practice it can be difficult to get a perfect paint job when polishing your own nails. I have a few hacks that will ensure your next paint job goes smoothly. Let’s get started!

  • Don’t Overload the Brush with Polish

Many people make this mistake because they think it will make the polishing process go by much faster. While it’s true that applying a thick layer will cover your nail bed in one coat, it actually makes polishing harder. Having too much polish on your brush makes the paint much harder to handle and you end up flooding the eponychium and surrounding skin with paint. The trick is to dip your brush, wipe of twice on the edge of the bottle, and then apply a layer to the nails.

  • Apply 2 to 3 Thin Layers

This may sound like too much effort to some, but I guarantee that your manicure will come out much better if you apply multiple thin layers. It is most recommended to apply a thin base coat, two thin layer of color, and a thin top coat. This not only ensures that your paint job looks the best, it will also dry more quickly!

  • Don’t Shake Your Nail Polish Bottle

This is a habit that most of us have and we don’t typically see it as a bad thing. However, shaking your polish creates air bubbles in the formula which can make your paint job have texture. Have you ever noticed the tiny bubbles that appear on your nails when you’re polishing? This occurs because you create the air from shaking the bottle and it compromises the quality of the polish formula. It is recommended to instead roll the bottle between your hands before you polish.

  • Paint in Only 3 Strokes

This hack is probably the hardest one to achieve in my opinion. The goal is to apply the polish in one swipe on the left, one swipe on the right, and finish with one swipe down the center of the nail. This takes practice to get used to, but you will eventually see how easy it makes the painting process. This ensures you are apply too much paint on the nails. It also ensures that the color is evenly blended and you will have a professional looking manicure every time!

Thank you guys so much for reading! I really hope these nail hacks were helpful for you. Have you tried any of these yourself? I’d also love to hear if you have any hacks to share yourself. Leave me your feedback in the comments below. I hope your day is awesome; love and light! :)
