Tips To Make Your Day A Little Brighter

Hi loves!

I hope your day has been treating you well so far! Today I wanted to share some of my personal favorite tips that always lift me up when I’m feeling down or not so optimistic. Some of these ideas may seem super simple, but they are truly effective. Let’s get into it!

Affirmations

This first tip is something I personally do throughout my entire day. I first learned of this tactic when studying the Law of Attraction. I like to take several minutes to really think about all of the things that I am grateful for in my life at the moment. Its so important to try this as soon as your eyes open in the morning, and right before you drift off to sleep at night. Starting your day with a grateful heart makes you radiate happiness, and allows you to take on your day in a positive mindset. You will notice how your days start going the way you want when you try this routine! :)

Little Pleasures

That morning cup of coffee, a bowl of ice cream in the evening, an extra long shower, or maybe a dance session all around your house. Whatever your little pleasure may be, feel free to make it happen for yourself no matter the time. Many of us put these things off, or use them as “rewards” for ourselves after we get the “important” things done first. That doesn’t have to be the case. Why not make your day brighter by having what makes you happy now?!

Yoga

You guys have read about my yoga journey so far, but I had to include this in today’s list. Taking even 10-15 minutes of your day (preferably morning) to stretch and practice some yoga moves will lift your spirits immediately. I always feel a sense of accomplishment and power no matter how long my sessions are.

 

Meditation

I’m sure you all have heard of the huge benefits of meditation for the mind, body, and soul. If you are lucky enough to have 10-30 minutes a day to devote to deep breathing and deep thinking, you will see a major change in your life. Meditation doesn’t have to be a difficult thing to accomplish, you can do this while laying in bed, sitting on the couch, or even soaking in the bath. What’s important is calming your mind of all the chaos and clutter and get to a quiet happy place in your thoughts. Once you’re in this zone, you can start “planning” your life and day to go how you’d like the best. Believe it or not, people who practice meditation see huge changes in their health, the way others treat them, and even positive changes in their relationships and work life. It is definitely something to give a try!
