Drugstore Haul | Reviews and First Impressions

Hi loves!

Today I wanted to share some of the goodies I just picked up from the drugstore. I haven’t had a good drugstore makeup haul in a long time so this is definitely overdue. Some of these products are repurchases and some are new buys that I’ve heard great things about. I’m sharing my first impressions and reviews as well; let’s get into it!

Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation

This foundation was a new buy and has intrigued me for a while now. I used to be a huge fan of the original Fit Me foundation, but it never seemed to last on my skin longer than 4 hours. This matte formula has gotten better reviews and I can now see why. I have combination/oily skin and this product gave me the most gorgeous demi matte finish on my skin. It lasted well throughout the day, so I can give it a big thumbs up. I’ve only used this foundation twice, so I’ll keep you updated if anything changes.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer

This is my holy grail drugstore concealer. I’m sure you’ve used this guy before or have heard how great it is. I picked it up for only $4 and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a medium/buildable concealer. I’ve heard many times that this product is comparable to Nars Radiant Creamy concealer which is a high end full coverage concealer. This is one product that I will continue to repurchase.

NYC Liquid Liner

This was my first time purchasing this liner after hearing amazing things about it. You guys know I’m a sucker for black liquid liner and I can’t believe I’ve waited so long to try this one out! The price point was super affordable and the formula is amazing. This is also my first liquid liner that has a brush tip. I’m used to using liners in pen form, but the adjustment wasn’t hard at all. I would definitely recommend this liner!

Wet N Wild Contour Palette

This was a surprise purchase for me because I didn’t know it existed. I initially was looking for a good drugstore bronzer (do those exist??) when I noticed Wet N Wild offered this lighter palette and one that was a tad darker. I opted for this lighter shade and assumed it was a cream product. Once I got home, I realized that this is actually a powder contour and highlight palette! I was initially disappointed in the pigmentation of the contour shade, but realized the color is GORGEOUS on my skin once I built it up with a few strokes. The highlight shade is perfect for my fair skin as well because of its yellow tone; it really brightens up my under eyes.

Have you guys tried any of these drugstore products? Let me know what your thoughts are, and also let me know if you’d like a more in depth review on any of these products. I hope your day is awesome; love and light! :)

I love the maybelline foundation! Works great for my oil skin! Everyone always say their concealers are their favorite. For only $4 I’m so giving this one a try! Plus I would love to try the Wet n Wild contour palette!

I’ve been looking for a drugstore contour kit as well. I’m not really eager to drop bucks on a higher end one because contouring isn’t something that I do daily but so far I’ve just been using eye shadows. I definitely want to see if Wet N Wild makes one that will work for my skin tone now!

Glad that Maybelline foundation and concealer have very light shades, but I don’t know if I’m gonna find them, because here in Croatia we almost never have the lightest shades of foundation, it’s so annoying, they’re probably thinking since we’re on Mediterranean, we have tan skin, which is so not true, I’m pale as hell, and I met girls who are even more pale. Like, we need the lightest shades, now xD

For drugstore bronzer: Have you tried the Rimmel Natural Bronzer? I have the shade Sun Shine (I think?) and it’s great. I also love the Fit Me Foundation and would love to try this drugstore contour kit. Thanks for the review!!
