L’Oreal Paris Feria Review

Hi loves!

Today I wanted to review one of my latest obsessions for you guys. If you follow me on social media you may know that I’ve been coloring my hair. I’ve been using L’Oreal Paris Feria in the shade R57 Intense Auburn. So what are my thoughts? Let’s get into it!

This was my first time experimenting with hair color from the drugstore and I think I did a pretty good job with the coverage. This first picture is a before of what my natural color looks like.

I then followed the instructions and saturated my hair completely with the color. I left it on for 25 minutes, rinsed out, shampooed twice, and then conditioned. This was the finished product…

I was super pleased with how much of the red color shines through. I didn’t expect much initially because my natural color is such a dark brown, but I’m excited to see its an overall burgundy shade! This is what the fresh color looks like in direct sunlight..

And here was the fresh color in the shade outside.. I definitely don’t mind the purple/wine color!

As for the product itself, I found it very easy to use and it actually made my hair feel so much healthier than it did before. The product has super hydrating ingredients and the shampoo and conditioner that comes in the kit makes my hair extremely soft and shiny! I would give this brand a huge thumbs up.

I made sure to only wash my hair every two to three days, use color care shampoo, and the color extending conditioner that came with the kit to ensure the color stays longer. I had to reapply at the 4th week mark to dye my roots and brighten up the color again. I’ve used this hair color three times now and I’m still loving it!

Thank you guys so much for reading! Have you tried this product before? If so, let me know what your experiences were like in the comments below. I hope your day is awesome; love and light! :)

  1. Hi! I thought I’d let you know that I really liked going through your post! Very cool, interesting (and stylish too! haha) Keep it up!
Come check out my blog if you get the chance, would love to know what you think!
    Keep blogging!
p.s. this colour realllyyy suits you!

  2. That is a beautiful color, heck I think your natural color was beautiful too. It has dimension. I’m really impressed with how this turned out.
Have you considered a shower filter? It eliminates most of the chlorine in your water that can strip the color. I get mine at Home Depot for $19.

  3. That colour looks gorgeous on you! I swear by this particular brand of hair dye and have been using it for years. I love how conditioned my hair feels after. It’s the only one that seems to give me that really bright colour that I’m after (copper/ginger in my case) as my hair (I’m naturally brunette) can be quite “immune” to other hair dyes lol!

      1. That old saying that blondes have more fun isn’t true. Being a redhead my entire life has been awesome. So welcome to team red & have fun gorgeous!!

  4. I understand why you love L’Oreal Feria. I’ve been using it for years. My shade is 74 which is the most amazing ginger/copper shade ever.

And yes, the shampoo/conditioner is absolutely brilliant and it makes hair incredibly soft and silky. :)
